After testing was completed here the transmitter tower was destroyed and the station was abandoned until 1996 when the steeple was replicated, an addition was added to the side of the barracks and a door was put on the back of the structure. The tower and barracks are now the park headquarters, and the tower are open to the public on weekends. The DPF platforms and any WW2 equipment has been removed from the tower. Many renovations have been done over the years including a recent renovation of the barracks. This is the only tower regularly opened to the public in New England. | |||
