Gayhead MR

Two Manhole FC's. One under viewing platform was for Battery Gray at Fort Church and one that has fallen into the ocean was for Battery Milliken at Fort Rodman. A 40-foot wooden tower for the Coast Guard was located next to the Gay Head Lighthouse that served the Anti-Aircraft Observer AAIS OP. This tower was dismantled sometime after 1955. In 2007 there were visible remains of the chain-link fence surrounding the Battery Gray FC, but it is not known if they still exist after a remodel of the observing area.
