Exploring Coastal Defense sites is very dangerous if the person is not well prepared or knowledgeable on the current condition of that site. Being careless around these sites can lead to serious injury or even death. We do not recommend that inexperienced people explore these sites as many are unsafe and are deteriorating rapidly. It is important to know what you are getting into and just make sure to use common sense. If a site is fenced off, it is probably for good reason. I am not a professional explorer but I do know my way around forts and do proper research regarding their safety. Do not do what I do.
